...plan!

I've been blogging for almost a year now. My first post was June 16th of last year. I'm also getting close to my 100th blog post. I think I should try for my 100th post to be on the 16th. This is my 93rd post, so let's see...yep! That's do-able. Should I do more to celebrate? Maybe I should design a blog background just for the anniversary/100th post. Some people throw a blog party. I'm not sure I'm up to all of that. I've got to get me a plan to note the passing of my first "season" as a newbie blogger. Any ideas?

...go orange.

Thanks to my friend, Janet, I shot a bright orange mushroom this morning. What do you think?

...be sorry.

Oh, no! I think I did something wrong. It wasn't something evil. It was done with the best intentions. However, I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I got caught trying to fix a mistake that wasn't mine. And by so doing, I revealed that there was a mistake in the first place. Ugh!

My luck ran out. Then guess what?! I filled up at the only open gas pump: #13 and paid $13. How unlucky am I???

Should I just pull the covers over my head and hide?

I know.

Drama! Drama! Drama!

...remember the fallen.

-sunset on the way to the cemetery-

Memorial Day is a day to remember the fallen and appreciate the sacrifices made so that we can enjoy freedom. This Memorial Day weekend we found our way to a Confederate cemetery. Soldiers from the "War Between the States" are not the first ones I think today. Although they fought against the union, they are American soldiers too. The luminaria event was nice. It is good to know that years later, these soldiers are also remembered.

Happy Memorial Day!

Thanks to all those who served and/or do serve!

...go to ye faire.

We drove to a renaissance faire today. It was a lot of fun. We saw retired greyhounds race. We petted alpacas. James found knife trainers. I found a dress. We shared toasted almonds (a must at every ren fest). Next time I think I'll ask my hubby to wear his kilt. Who knows when that will be...our next duty station may not be near such events. Now that just wouldn't be faire! (He-he.)

...brag about my hubby again.

I don't think I do this enough. Well, my husband made some yummy shortbread cookies dipped in chocolate last night. And that, folks, is one reason why I love that man!

...brag!

Isn't this cute?

Don't tell, okay?!

It's an old Christmas gift bag.

I cut the little girl and birthday cake out of some old wrapping paper and pasted it over a Christmas tree that was on the bag. Then I stuffed it with pink and swirly tissue paper.

I think it turned out well...

...trek!

I saw the new Star Trek movie this weekend. 'Loved it! I think I'll have to buy it when it comes out on DVD and watch it over and over until I drive my hubby crazy. I am such a nerd! Anyway, I caught this video about a guy that might be a little cooler than me...

...stock up!

We had some success at the case lot sale. We don't have much in the way of storage in our apartment. So, I stacked up our stash for now. We also got bulk soap and TP. I'm happy that I don't need to buy this stuff for a while and will save money in the long run. Yea!

...be reverent.

This is a fuzzy picture. We had to take it fast because Lucy moves on us when the camera comes out. She was laying down with her front paws crossed for a minute. She looked like she was getting ready to pray or be the "primary perfect" example of reverence.
