When you take time off in the military, it's called "leave." James decided to use some of his accumulated days for a short vacation. We aren't going anywhere special. We just plan to hang out close to home for the most part. In honor of his leave time starting at noon yesterday, I made a silly lunch. It kinda has a Hawaiian theme. The picture isn't great. Can make out the pineapple shaped Rice Krispie treat? I used food coloring to make the green stem/leaves and drizzled chocolate to make it look more like a pineapple. I'm sure Martha Stewart wouldn't be impressed, but it tasted good!
